Bridgestone Recalls Over 12,000 Tires

Recalls aren’t something new in the automotive industry and today we have one from Bridgestone. The company recalls over 12 thousand tires from multiple models due to possible damage.

The recall affects several models from the Bridgestone and Firestone lineup. It also doesn’t affect all sizes. The models in question are the Firestone Destination LE2 with DOT dates from 2522 through 2622 with the P265.65R17 110S size. Next up is the Bridgestone Alenza Sport A/S with DOT codes between 2422 and 2722 in 235/55R20 102V size. Finally, it’s the Bridgestone Turanza EL440 with DOT dates from 2521 through 2621 from the 235/50R18 97V size.
Based on the report, the affected models may have sustained cuts or tears during the sorting process. In some cases, this can be benign, but in others, the damage can be much more significant, leading to potential risks.
As with most recalls, dealers will inspect the tires and determine the damage. Wherever necessary, they will replace them free of charge. Owners should also expect to get notification levels some time between December 19th and January 2nd.
