Very good comparison and explanation. I've been driving the Latitude on my Chrysler Pacifica, on my Dakota and on my RAM 1500 and your discussion is consistent with my experience. I found the Latitude to be an excellent tire for highway travel. It's smooth, quiet and handles well. Unfortunately, I live in an area with a lot of construction and AGAIN (third time) picked up a screw in the sidewall, so I was thinking of switching to the Defender this time. However, after reading your review, I've decided to stick with the Latitude (for now) because my priorities are a smooth quiet ride, overall handling and fuel economy. Thank you.
